Bay of Islands Farmers
Market - all year round
Every Sunday morning rain or shine in Kerikeri on Hobson Ave. More than
40 stall holders showcase Northland's best locally grown fresh
vegetables and fruit, plus cheese, olive oil, wine, honey, preserves,
free range eggs and more. "We sell - we grow".

Jazz & Blues Festival - 7th to 9th August
Annual Jazz & blues festival held in Paihia, Russell, Waitangi & Haruru
Falls featuring 200 hours of jazz & blues music with busking starting
6pm on the 7th at the Copthorne Hotel, Cruza Bar,Duke Of Marlborough
Hotel in Russell, Paihia Pacific Resort, Haruru Falls Resort and
finishing at 1am. Resuming on Saturday at 12 noon to 1am and again
Sunday 12 noon to 12 midnight.

Savouring the Source - 14th
November
Savouring The Source, Northlands fabulous food and wine festival is held
yearly at the Bay of Islands P&I Show in Waimate North. Housed in one
giant marquee and surrounded by the traditional activities of the
heritage Bay of Islands show, the festival is a mix of reginal food
products, wine, cafes and restaurant chefs. Highlights include
continuous cooking demonstrations by the Northland Chefs association
with input from the Northlands Winegrowers association. Gates open
8.30am. Entrance fee; $5.00

FEBRUARY 2010
Waitangi Festival - 5th to 7th February
Thursday 5th February is family sports day with coordinated games and
competitions on the Waitangi Green. Another free concert is planned for the
evening.
Friday - Waitangi Day - begins with the Dawn Karakia at the carved meeting house
(5:00am) and a day of ceremony, prayer, music and family fun formally ends at
ceremonial sunset (5pm) with Beat Retreat and a naval Guard of Honour. Then at
6:30pm the Hobson's beach stage erupts into more entertainment. Saturday 7
February features music and further sports around the grounds.
